IBBT releases an open source implementation of IDRA

Submitted by SPITFIRE on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 12:14

IBBT has released an open source implementation of IDRA, an novel protocol architecture for networked embedded devices. To this end, a website has been launched at http://idraproject.net offering the source code and extensive documentation. The architecture is highly flexible and has low memory and processing requirements.

Within SPITFIRE, IBBT uses the IDRA framework to design solutions for the Service Protocol targeted by the project and to make available cross-layer information. As such, it will represent one of the heterogeneous technologies that will be used within the project, a prerequisite to demonstrate the unifying solutions the SPITFIRE project will deliver.
